Ronkonkoma, NY, April 9 2014 — Vacuum Instrument Corp., a world leader in the leak detection industry, today introduced a console series of Helium and Argon mass spectrometer leak detectors with LCD touch-screen GUIs. The leak detectors are used for testing the integrity of semiconductors, electronics, aerospace, medical products, research and development as well as a host of other applications which require the mass spectrometer leak detection.
All models include a 10” capacitive touch-screen flat panel LCD display mounted on an articulating bracket that allows the operator to use his/her finger to navigate through a vast array of menus, settings and options. The Touch-Screen GUI allows for greater system control and monitoring during system start-up and operation.
Displays include system status, accept/reject indications, system health, set-up, calibration and other diagnostic functions. The GUI allows the operator to quickly calibrate the system with the MS-50 GT’s built-in leak standard and view a leak rate. System Diagnostic Mode enables one to monitor several operating parameters and includes an interactive system valve and operation schematic. With its 50 test recipes, the MS-50 GT is designed to take the guess work out of testing and automate your process.
The MS-50 GT Series leak detectors are offered in Helium and Argon tracer gas versions. Additional options include High-sensitivity, Dual test ports, UFT and Dry oil free models.

About the Company
Vacuum Instrument Corporation (VIC) is the world's largest company devoted solely to research and design, manufacture, distribution, training and service of leak detectors and complete leak detector solutions. Founded in 1958 as Vacuum Instrument Corporation, VIC introduced the first portable helium leak detector in 1967, went on to develop the first fully automatic industrial leak detection system in 1978, and the first “sniff only” helium leak detector in 1990. In 2000, Vacuum Instrument Corporation acquired the Leak Detection Division of Veeco Instruments Inc. (Plainview, NY). This division was reorganized as the Advanced Leak Metrology Division. VIC’s Industrial Leak Detection, Air Leak Testing, and Advanced Leak Metrology Divisions combine their engineering, manufacturing, and marketing resources as VIC Leak Detection.
VIC has the world's largest base of installed leak detectors. More than one billion products have been tested with VIC’s portable vacuum-type helium/hydrogen sniffers, general purpose helium leak detectors, mass flow and pressure decay systems, and complete turnkey leak detection solutions. VIC employs more than 80 people at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities, located in Ronkonkoma, NY and Dayton, OH. Factory direct sales and service are available worldwide.
