Ronkonkoma, NY, January 2, 2018 — Vacuum Instruments Corporation, LLC announces it has a patent pending for a methodology for high speed industrial leak detection of Co‐Axial Nested parts such as Internal Heat Exchangers (IHX).
While IHX manufacturing techniques have long been utilized in traditional refrigeration systems, recent improvements to automotive AC hose design have resulted in the implementation of IHX hoses in automobiles air conditioning systems. The automotive industry goals in using IHX result in increased fuel economy and reduced emissions. But if leaks exist then this efficiency is not realized. VIC, LLC’s leak testing ingenuity ensures our thermal customers build climate system components that appeal to automotive manufacturers around the world.
VIC, LLC’s unique test methodology completely tests the leak integrity of the entire Co‐Axial sections in one testing sequence without removing the IHX parts from the chamber and exceeds all current industry leak testing requirements. The newly developed IHX test has been implemented as an option into our “Scepter” product line. This differentiated test is also afforded to standard refrigeration systems and components using IHX technology.
Vacuum Instruments Corporation, LLC provides a wide variety of leak detection solutions from standard products to custom designed systems, offering a wide array of flexible configurations to suit its customers’ demanding needs, serving a variety of industries such as Automotive, HVAC, Aerospace, Defense and Medical Instruments.
