PBS-2
GAS HANDLING SYSTEM – BOMBING STATION
DUAL CHAMBER
Introducing the VIC PBS-2 Dual Chamber Bombing Station, designed for advanced helium tracer gas leak detection in automotive, aerospace, and electronics. Its dual-chamber design allows simultaneous testing, ensuring efficient identification of even the smallest leaks while reducing overall test times.
System specifically designed for the bombing of hermetically sealed devices.
The purpose of the PBS-2 Bombing Station is to “bomb” hermetically sealed components prior to leak testing. Included in this system are two canisters (chambers) which may be pressurized to 100 psi. Max. Each of the two canisters may be operated independently thus allowing the operation to run sequentially, providing a constant flow of newly “bombed” parts. It also permits several devices to be prepared to varying specifications Operating controls provide for initial evacuation of the canisters (from 1 atm down to 30 in Hg max); backfill of helium (1 atm to 100 psi max) ; removal of helium after bombing and flushing of
bombed parts with dry nitrogen (removes residual surface helium).
Main Features
- Two ASME coded chambers, which may be pressurized to 110 psi, can be operated independently to supply a constant flow of newly prepared devices for continuous helium leak testing
- Two different devices may be prepared to varying specifications
- Operating controls provide for initial evacuation of the chamber, venting of chamber after bombing, and purging of chamber with dry gas (typically nitrogen)
Operation
- Initial Startup
- Loading of Canister
- Evacuation of Canister
- Pressurization with Helium
- Bombing Period
- Venting of Canister
- Flushing the Devices
- Shutdown of Bombing Station
The PBS-2 Bombing Station can be fully customized to meet your testing needs.
